PCR Purification Kit
PCR Purification Kit – Spin Column Format
This PCR purification kit enables the rapid isolation of amplified DNA products from PCR mixes. It effectively removes PCR by-products such as primers, primer dimers, enzymes, unincorporated nucleotides, and residual mineral oil, producing clean DNA suitable for downstream applications. The purified DNA is fully compatible with restriction enzyme digestion, ligation into vectors, labeling, sequencing, and other molecular biology techniques. This kit also serves as an efficient alternative to organic extraction and ethanol precipitation for cleaning up various enzymatic reactions.
Purification Technology
The purification process is based on spin column chromatography, which binds DNA under high-salt conditions and elutes it under low-salt, slightly alkaline conditions. PCR products are first mixed with five volumes of the supplied binding buffer. Mineral oil does not need to be removed beforehand, as it is eliminated during purification.
The sample is applied to the spin column via centrifugation. DNA binds to the column based on ionic interactions, while primers, dimers, enzymes, and other contaminants pass through. The bound DNA is washed twice using the provided wash solution to remove residual impurities, and the purified DNA is then eluted with the supplied elution buffer. The result is high-quality DNA ready for cloning, sequencing, labeling, or further enzymatic manipulation.
