Cell and Tissue DNA Isolation Kit

The Cells and Tissue DNA Isolation Micro Kit is designed for the rapid extraction of genomic DNA from small amounts of cultured cells, tissue samples, and urine. Purification is achieved using spin column chromatography as the separation matrix. The columns selectively bind DNA under optimized salt conditions and release it under low-salt, slightly alkaline conditions. The resulting genomic DNA is fully digestible with commonly used restriction enzymes and is compatible with PCR and Southern blot analysis.

This micro kit is optimized for low-input samples, such as those obtained from Laser-Captured Microdissection (LCM). Genomic DNA is preferentially separated from other cellular protein components and is eluted in a small volume. DNA yields will vary depending on the sample type. Preparation time for a single sample is approximately 60 minutes, and the kit provides sufficient materials for up to 50 preparations.
