Blood DNA Isolation Kit

This Blood DNA Isolation Midi Kit is designed for the rapid extraction of genomic DNA from 0.3 to 2 mL of whole blood. The purification process uses spin column chromatography, where the column selectively binds DNA under optimized salt conditions and releases it under low-salt, slightly alkaline conditions. The resulting genomic DNA is fully digestible with all tested restriction enzymes and is compatible with a wide range of downstream applications, including PCR, real-time PCR, long-range PCR, RFLP analysis for paternity testing, and Southern blot analysis.

The kit allows genomic DNA isolation from the blood of various species, including humans, and preferentially separates DNA from other cellular proteins and components. DNA yields may vary depending on the cell density of the blood sample. The preparation time for a single sample is under 45 minutes, and the kit provides sufficient reagents for 20 extractions.
